I left my life in Midwest State to come teach first grade in Southwest State. I am a third year teacher and a third year desert dweller. I'm also in graduate school part time at the state university. We'll see how this goes.

Nah, he was just joking around as we were setting things up on some computers before class. One of my classmates made a comment about computer games, and the professor responded with the quote. This professor is pretty competent.
