I'm the chosen one, apparently...

My school seems to find it amusing to give me a new student each week of school. I'm starting to see a pattern. If we keep this up, I'll be out of table space (I use tables, not desks) by the end of the quarter. The other teachers aren't getting all the new students. I'm not sure why I'm special...

eesh. this has already happened to me... today I got a 25th student when my room only has enough room for 12 lab tables (2 kids to a table). Had to frantically borrow a chair from next door and then cram the new student at the end of a crowded table... hopefully this is fixed soon

I feel you. What is worse is that not only am I getting new folks this late in the quarter (4 weeks into the year), but I'm also losing them. We've bonded. The students are learning. And now they are being sent to an "easier" class because of some scheduling snafu. At least send them to another chemistry class. :: sigh ::

That happened to me my first year teaching too.... I say it's like some kind of unfair hazing!
